News Release: Hamilton, Bermuda – Susan Pateras-Maybury and Suzanne Khan announced the launch of The Art of You and its inaugural three-day Women’s Transformation Series taking place in Bermuda.

The Art of You is a Bermuda-based movement with global reach grounded in the transformation of women as one of its founding principles.

The Art of You Women’s Transformation Series will run from March 20 – 22, 2020 at the Elbow Beach Resort. The weekend includes a Friday night dinner and mixer. The Saturday will be a full day of transformation sessions followed by a networking vendor marketplace where women can interact directly with the day’s session leaders and panellists. The series will conclude with a beachside ‘Brand You Brunch’ event on Sunday, March 22, hosted by the team at The Brand Lion, a local brand communications agency.

Maryam Myika Day, Broadway actress, screenwriter and reinvention strategist will be in attendance throughout the weekend series and will take the stage to present a keynote address at the Saturday session.

Day will share the insight she has developed to help convert adversity into a tool of reinvention. Day shared: ”At the beginning of my fortieth decade, I faced the hardest challenge of my life to date, and was forced to turn my pain into power. In Bermuda, I look forward to sharing the power of the soul shift and outline the steps I took to activate my own transformation, the same steps you can take for yourself.”

There will be over twelve dynamic speakers, facilitators and panelists who will share their personal experiences and expertise across various topics including physical and emotional wellness, financial health, overcoming fear and projecting your voice, finding your purpose and learning the art of reinvention.

Pateras-Maybury, The Art of You founder, explained the genesis of the series: “As international Woman’s History Month 2020 approaches, I wanted to honour that history by supporting the creation of a future filled with strong, empowered, and resilient women.  I had a vision of an intimate, interactive weekend experience for women of all backgrounds that would go beyond inspiration. The driving force of the vision was to not just inspire but equip women with specific tools and a circle of support that will help them design the lives that they imagine. I have benefitted tremendously over the years, both personally and professionally, from women and men who provide me with insights, access, support, motivation, feedback and the tools needed to live a life that’s full and designed on my own terms. I felt 2020 was the time to share those lessons and stories and invite others to join my circle.”

Suzanne Khan, co-founder of The Art of You, said: “There is a beautiful transformation that takes place when women are furnished with the tools to stop asking for permission and instead chart their own path with confidence, purpose and passion. The Art of You is designed to provide attendees with the tools to take immediate, inspired action in designing the life they imagine incorporating all aspects of well-being: professional, personal, physical, mental and financial.

“I am honoured to join the collective energy of men and women who believe in the expansion of women. I sit in gratitude for the circle that encourages and inspires but also teaches and advises me and am excited to open that circle up to my community.”
