No official word yet on the extent of her injuries, her condition or the circumstances of that serious assault on a 33-year-old woman on Friday night.
But reports reaching Bermuda Real on Saturday morning that the victim, was jumped by at least three to five men with one brandishing a machete.
Police say she sustained serious injuries when she was set upon by “a group of unknown individuals brandishing at least one machete” causing injuries deemed serious.
The incident occurred around 10:50pm on Friday night (June 19) in the Cedar Hill Warwick area.
While a spokeswoman said details were limited when the report was filed just before 1am on Saturday morning, eyewitness accounts being circulated on social media say the victim reportedly suffered severed fingers and sustained a severe chop “down to the bone” of one of her arms and a severe gash to the head.
Again, no official comment has been released by the police as of 10am this morning.
