Bermuda Real confirmed this morning that Bermuda’s maximum security prison has been hard hit by COVID-19 with ten prison officers off the schedule.
At last check, there were at least two prison officers who tested positive and eight in quarantine due to close contact.
The numbers were disclosed just prior to a meeting held by prison officials and officers this morning to discuss the current state of affairs at the west end facility.
Our source said he will speak with us after that meeting. We’ll have more, hopefully, later today and we’ll keep you posted.
