The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their cooperation on the road over the weekend, as the number of reported collisions went down to ten last weekend, compared to the 21 reported during the previous weekend.

In addition, eight people were arrested on suspicion of impaired driving this past weekend, with seven individuals failing the alco-anyalyer test and one passing it.

A spokesman said police will continue their high visibility on the roads.

“We are asking the motoring public to slow down – do not drink and drive – and to make smart decisions while on the roads.”

He also urged motorists to follow @bps_rpu on Twitter to find out the latest road initiatives and traffic enforcement actions conducted by the Roads Policing Unit.
