Good Morning Bermuda Real Family! Trust you’re off to a good start this morning. We have another busy day in store on the regular news beat and the not so regular Bermuda Real beat.
National Security Minister Wayne Caines will meet with the media at 11:30am this morning at a news briefing to discuss initiatives aimed at reducing violence and antisocial behaviour in our community. That briefing will be held at the AB Place Media Room and we’ll be there, before moving on to another full slate of exclusive Bermuda Real interviews. We’ll have more on the Minister’s briefing later.
On a sad note, we also want to take time out to extend heartfelt prayers to a long time friend and former school mate back in the day. To Andrew Petty and the Petty family who will lay a dear loved one to rest today, there are no words really. So sorry for your loss, a tragic senseless tragedy that claimed the life of Kerry Petty, who leaves behind two young daughters, one of them so young that she will never know her dearly departed mother, except for the memories shared by those she leaves behind. Have Mercy! Another soul lost to what is believed to be a case of impaired driving by another woman no less, who was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol.
Any life lost on Bermuda’s roads is one too many! And Lord knows we’ve lost way too many dear souls for this so-called national obsession of taking the wheel under the influence already! Those babies left behind did not deserve this – no one does – SERIOUSLY! Our prayer for this family today is hold on to the memories, and may you find peace despite your family’s tragedy. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you on this most difficult day.
And to our website readers at large, do have a Bermuda Real productive day. Once again, we’re on the move – catch up with you later.
