Vanessa Bryant, the widow of Kobe Bryant, posted a heartwarming photo of the two together on what would have been their 19th wedding anniversary Saturday.

“My king, my heart, my best friend,” Bryant captioned the photo. “Happy 19th wedding anniversary baby. I miss you so much. I wish you were here to hold me in your arms. I love you.”

The Bryants married in 2001 in Dana Point, Calif., two years after they met.

One day prior to Vanessa’s post, the WNBA honoured her daughter Gianna, along with Alyssa Altobelli and Payton Chester by making them honourary draft picks in its 2020 draft on Friday night.

Basketball superstar Kobe and one of the couple’s daughters, 13-year-old Gianna, were among nine people killed in a helicopter crash in southern California on Jan. 26.

Kobe and Vanessa have three surviving daughters who were not on the helicopter.

The three young basketball players were on their way to a game at Kobe’s Mamba Academy on Jan. 26 when the helicopter carrying them and six others, including Kobe, crashed, killing everyone on board.
