Protection’s (CBP) Global Entry Enrollment on Arrival program at the LF Wade International Airport.
Enrollment on Arrival enables conditionally-approved Global Entry applicants to complete their interview, the final step of the enrollment procedure, during the US pre-clearance process.
Enrollment on Arrival is a program operated by CBP which eliminates the need for Global Entry applicants to schedule an interview at an enrollment center overseas. Applicants who successfully complete the online application and background check will receive a conditional approval notice confirming their eligibility for an interview.
On the applicant’s next scheduled trip through Bermuda’s Preclearance facility, they will be processed for both their Global Entry and Preclearance admission at one of the new Enrollment on Arrival kiosks, where a CBP officer will determine final eligibility before the applicant boards their flight. Applicants should arrive at the airport earlier than usual, as the enrollment process could take longer than the normal preclearance process. If approved, the traveler will become a Global Entry member and will be
able to use Global Entry kiosks at other available locations as well as Bermuda.
“This program is convenient and beneficial to qualified travelers,” says US Consul General Constance Dierman.
Although Bermuda passport holders are currently ineligible for this service, US citizens and those who have a UK passport may apply for Global Entry. Additionally, passport holders from Argentina, Colombia, Germany, India, Mexico, the Netherlands, Panama, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Switzerland and Taiwan can also apply. Canadian citizens and residents enrolled in NEXUS may also use the Global Entry kiosks.
Over 4.7 million Global Entry members bypass traditional CBP inspection lines and use automated kiosks to complete their admission into the United States. Global Entry is currently available at 54 U.S. airports and 15 Preclearance locations, streamlining the international arrivals process at airports for trusted travelers.
Interested travelers must apply online through the Trusted Traveler Programs website. The non-refundable application fee for a five-year membership is $100.
