Tropical Storm Florence had winds up to 60 mph on Sunday morning but was not expected to become a hurricane, while gradually gaining strength in the eastern Atlantic.
According to the National Hurricane Center, as of 4am Florence was located about 480 miles west-northwest of the Cabo Verde Islands, moving west-northwest at 15 mph.
Although the tropical storm could get stronger later today, forecasters predict little change in strength between today and Tuesday.
A storm must have winds of 74 mph to become a hurricane.
At last check the Bermuda Weather Service said Tropical Storm Florence was not considered a threat to Bermuda.
