Three people were rushed to the hospital’s Emergency Department last night following a serious two-vehicle accident, one with “very serious injuries”.
Police say the accident occurred around 11:30pm on Friday (Aug 19), on North Shore Road junction with Coney Island Road in Hamilton Parish, involving two motorcycles.
A spokeswoman said initial information “suggests that both vehicles initially were travelling in a westerly direction, however it appears that a male riding one of the motorcycles attempted to make a u-turn, causing the vehicles to collide”.
“The rider of that motorcycle was reported to have very serious injuries and has been transported to KEMH for treatment. The male riding the second motorcycle and his female pillion passenger were also taken to KEMH for treatment of their injuries. The extent of their injuries is not know at this time.”
Traffic accident investigators processed the scene and traffic diversions were put in place at Wilkinson Avenue and Fractious Street.
Witnesses to this collision are being asked to contact police constable Tavoris Douglas on 7172082 or tdouglas@bps.bm<mailto:tdouglas@bps.bm> or 211.
