Queen Elizabeth II will meet with Prince Harry, Prince Charles and Prince William to sort out the next stage of the Duke of Sussex’s proposals to quit the royal family with his wife Meghan.

The Mirror reports this weekend: “The Queen has summoned Prince Harry to meet with her, Prince Charles and Prince William for an emergency summit at Sandringham on Monday.

Following top level meetings between senior royal aides, government mandarins from the UK and Canada and police forces including the Met Police, a series of proposals have been drawn up.

“These aim to formulate a working plan to try and appease the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – who have demanded a way out of their royal lives,” the report said.

“The four principle members of the royal family will be given written briefings to digest before they meet in person for the first time since Harry and Meghan published their bombshell statement.

“It comes as it emerged Meghan has not spoken to Kate Middleton for six months.”

Last week “Meghan and Harry have announced their intention to resign from their royal roles immediately so they could pursue a life earning millions of pounds.”

Since then, it has emerged that Harry and Meghan told Elton John they wanted to quit before telling the Queen, the report added.

“A senior palace source said Meghan is expected to dial in to the meeting, if it works with her schedule owing to the time difference in Canada where she is staying with the couples eight month old son Archie after she fled the UK on Wednesday.

“They intend to split their time between the UK and Canada after struggling to deal with life in the spotlight and refusing to carry on.”

A source said: “The family will gather on Monday at Sandringham to talk things through.

“The Queen, the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex will meet for the first time.”

Following “a series of meetings and consultations across the last few days there are a range of possibilities for the family to review which take into account the thinking the Sussexes outlined earlier in the week”.
According to the report: “Making a change to the working life and role in the monarchy for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex requires complex and thoughtful discussion.
“Next steps will be agreed at the meeting and the request for this to be resolved at pace is still Her Majesty’s wish.

“The aim remains this to be in days, not weeks.

“There is genuine agreement and understanding that any decision will take time to be implemented.”

It was also noted that “Meghan, 38, is expected to join in the crisis meeting by video link from the couple’s rented mansion on Vancouver Island, western Canada where she is stlying with eight-month-old son Archie”.

“According to royal sources, she will make the conference call if it works with her schedule owing to the eight-hour time difference between Vancouver and the UK.
“As the crisis continues, it is understood Meghan, 38, was left feeling so cut off from the royals that she and her sister-in-law Kate severed all communication on a family WhatsApp chat group.”
