New York Daily News: BRONX, By John Annese – Two teen boys chased into a Bronx apartment building by a gang of muggers were beaten, slashed and thrown down a flight of stairs by the crooks, shocking video released by the NYPD Sunday shows.

The 16-year-old victims were walking along E 171st St in Claremont Village shortly before 5:30am Saturday when the robbers started chasing them, cops said.

The panicked victims ran into a building near College Ave. and got up to the third floor before the crooks caught up with them. Startling surveillance video released by the NYPD shows five robbers, five in all, throwing the teens down a flight of stairs and then dragging, punching and stomping one of the young victims.

One of the teens was slashed in the leg in the attack, the other on the cheek, cops said. The crooks took both their cellphones and snatched $100 from one of the boys, cops said.

Both teens went to Montefiore Medical Center in stable condition.

Cops are asking the public’s help identifying and tracking down the crooks.
