Local residents are advised to take note of the Cup Match holiday changes in garbage and recycling collection next week.
A spokeswoman for Public Works said in the west end garbage will be collected this Monday, July 31st. Recyclables and garbage will also be collected on Wednesday, August 1st.
East end garbage will be collected on Tuesday, August 1st, recyclables and garbage will be collected again on Saturday, August 5th.
“When enjoying Bermuda’s outdoor environment this holiday season please remember to practice pack-in-pack-out; bring your own waste and recycling bags and take home for disposal on your regular collection days instead of leaving it at public docks, beaches and parks,” she added.
Changes to waste collection days due to public holidays can be found in the 2017/18 Garbage and Recycling schedule which can be found in the blue pages of the BTC phone book, or down-loaded from www.wastemanagement.gov.bm.
