No word yet on the condition of a 38-year-old St George’s woman involved in a single vehicle motorcycle accident on the Causeway Bridge in St George’s this morning, near the LF Wade International Airport.
Police say the accident occurred around 7:50am (July 31) and the rider was travelling west.
A spokesman said: “She was cared for at the scene by EMTs before being transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for further treatment of her injuries.
“An update on her medical condition is anticipated in due course.
“The motorcycle involved was damaged. However, there were no other reports of injury or damage.
“Traffic flow along that section of the bridge was reduced to one lane temporarily, which caused delays for morning commuters in the area,” he added.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to call the main police telephone number 295-0011.
