He was also charged with possession of three rounds of 9 millimetre ammunition, possession of a firearm in a public place and violently resisting arrest on Wellington Slip Road in St George’s during Cup Match celebratory motorcade.
Mr Roberts was not required to enter a plea to the indictable offences now bound for the Supreme Court to be heard by a judge and jury.
Magistrate Maxanne Anderson set the case down for the next arraignment session in the Supreme Court on September 1.
