A 40-year-old St George’s man was remanded in custody until July 1, when he will face a formal indictment in the Supreme Court for possessing a gun and ammunition, in addition to drug offences.

Gregory Outerbridge, was formally charged with possessing a black Taurus revolver, six rounds of ammunition and cannabis with intent to supply in an increased penalty zone in Southampton on May 26.

He was further charged with possessing cannabis with intent to supply in another increased penalty zone in St George’s on or around the same date, in addition to possessing drug equipment – namely a digital scale.

He appeared in Magistrates’ Court on Friday (June 24), where he was not required to enter a plea, as the case will go before a judge and jury.

Magistrate Maxanne Anderson remanded him in custody until July 1, when the case goes to the Supreme Court.
