South Road, between White Sands Road and the Paget stop lights was reopened this morning after a it was closed to vehicular traffic on Saturday (August 22) due to a burst water main, causing damage to a portion of the roadway in that area rendering it unsafe to vehicular traffic.
The Department of Public Works carried out the repair work necessary. Traffic was diverted on to Harbour Road in the interim.
A police spokesman confirmed this morning that the road has been reopened to traffic.
