St David’s residents who have outside home security cameras are being urged to check their footage, after a vehicle believed to be owned by Darius Tucker, 56, was seen on CCTV heading into St David’s.
Police say the vehicle was seen heading out of St George’s in to St David’s around 6.50pm on Sunday.
Residents were urged to check their footage to see if they “captured Mr Tucker or the white van he was last seen driving”, as the search continues.
A police spokesman said “all efforts remain concentrated in St David’s”, with a police search on land and the Royal Bermuda Regiment Coastguard searching the coastal area.
The spokesman later confirmed that Freemasons from Hannibal Lodge in St George’s, and reinsurance firm RenaissanceRe had joined in the search of the East End.
“We are also grateful for members of the public from Hannibal Lodge and RenaissanceRe who have joined the search in the east end,” he added.
Mr Tucker is described as a brown complexioned man with a low cut hair cut, who stands about 5ft 10in tall, with a medium build.
He was last seen around 4.30pm on Sunday, near Crow Lane in Pembroke, driving a white van with the licence plate IN3074 with a DTS Services logo on the side.
Mr Tucker was elected as the MP for Hamilton South in 2007 for the now defunct United Bermuda Party, before he left the party in 2009 and sat as an independent and joined the Progressive Labour Party in 2011.
His bid for the PLP in Paget West in the 2012 General Election was unsuccessful, when he was defeated by One Bermuda Alliance candidate and former MP Patricia Gordon-Pamplin.
Meanwhile, anyone with information on Mr Tucker’s whereabouts should call 211 or the main police number, 295-0011, as the search continues with all efforts concentrated in St David’s.
