News Release: August 2019 – Inspired by the rich trading heritage of Bermuda and the old-world dining experience of classic steak & chop houses, Island Brasserie, formerly The Point, introduces a menu characterized by “classic high-end steakhouse favourites, paired with modern, and exciting concepts.” The menu highlights choice cuts of meat sourced by master butchers from New York to Australia, locally caught fish, and luxurious desserts.

Serge Botelli, Director of Food and Beverage, Rosewood Bermuda, says: “The modern steakhouse concept re-introduces simple, comfortable favourites with a sense of theatre and personal service, that all diners will enjoy. We gladly welcome our local Bermudian community to experience the new space, our convivial atmosphere, and of course the exquisite dining.”

As a steakhouse, there is no shortage of choice cuts all perfectly seared on the char grill. From Long Island Strip, to Dry-Aged Strip, a “Cowgirl” Steak, Petit Fillet, and even the beautifully marbled Australian Wagyu Strip Loin is available seasonally. Signature cuts include a luxurious Chateaubriand for two, and the Tomahawk steak for two, each is carved table-side in keeping with classic steakhouse tradition.

Alternative options feature prominently with signature dishes such as the Tuna Wellington. Locally caught Yellow Fin Tuna is wrapped in flaky puff-pastry, offering an innovative and light Bermudian twist on the classic. For dessert lovers, the classic Crepe Suzette for two, prepared table-side is finished with a dramatic Grand Marnier flambé adding a sense of excitement and theatre to the dining experience.

Historical, yet vibrant and alive, the Island Brasserie takes its inspiration from a colonial-style home and the island’s rich naval heritage with warm wood finishes, cathedral ceilings with exposed cedar beams and antique brass detailing. Gerard Henderson’s iconic hand-painted murals pay homage to Bermuda’s seafaring heritage, and old-world trading ports. Indoors, the restaurant offers a relaxed and inviting setting for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Outside, a terrace provides captivating views of Harrington Sound during the day and fireside warmth in the evening.
