The Royal Bermuda Regiment (RBR) performed a rifle salute commemorating the life of HRH Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh at 12 noon today.

The event which took place on the grounds of Government House, saw in attendance Her Excellency, the Governor Rena Lalgie, Deputy Premier, Walter Roban, Opposition Leader, Cole Simons, Cabinet Secretary, Marc Telemaque, RBR Honorary Colonel, Lt Col David Gibbons, and RBR Commanding Officer, Lt.Col. Benjamin Beasley.

As a note, Bermuda joined the UK, it’s Overseas Territories and other Commonwealth nations today in recognising the life of the Duke of Edinburgh with a gun or rifle salute.

Due to COVID restrictions, today‘s event was not open to the public.
