News Release: HAMILTON, Bermuda – The Ministry of National Security, is reminding that the deadline for applications for the upcoming Royal Bermuda Regiment (RBR) recruit camp is Thursday (February 4, 2021).
Recruit training camp takes place February 14 – 27, 2021, and interested persons wishing to serve are encouraged to attend Warwick Camp for an interview before Thursday.
The Minister of National Security, Renée Ming has publicly commended members of the RBR for their exemplary service, bravery and courage over the past year, particularly against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Minister Ming has said: “We are very appreciative of the individuals who have chosen to serve in the RBR. Over the last year the men and women of the RBR have performed admirably during a busy hurricane season, on the water as part of the Coast Guard, and of course during the pandemic, supporting Bermuda’s COVID-19 response. Those who serve have said it’s an enriching and fulfilling experience, and we encourage any interested Bermudians to please contact the RBR to find out how they can be a part of this dynamic team.”
As the public is aware, the RBR is an all voluntary service with a commitment of three-years. Soldiers are required to serve at least one month each year, including the two-week training camp.
Interested persons over the age of 18 are invited to apply by calling 238-1045 or visiting www.RBR.bm, where they can complete an Interest Form.
