The Ministry of Public Works issued issued an advisory for west end and Southampton residents today that due to the Portuguese Day holiday (Monday November 4), garbage normally collected on that day will be collected this Saturday, November 2.
A spokesperson said: “As a reminder, Monday garbage collection areas include Sandy’s Parish and Southampton Parish West, up to and including Lighthouse Road from Middle Road to South Road.
“Garbage may also be delivered to the Tynes Bay Waste Treatment Facility, which will be open from 9am to 12pm.
