News Release: HAMILTON, Bermuda – Lifeguards have erected red flags and placed signage at Horseshoe Bay to mark the non-safe swimming areas.

Swimmers are strongly encouraged to exercise caution, heed any warning signs they may encounter, and be mindful that conditions can change quickly, resulting in partial or complete beach closures depending on the risks and hazards.

Public and private chartered transport operators servicing beaches in our National Parks are urged to inform their patrons about the surf conditions at South Shore beaches and to monitor the Bermuda Weather Service for the latest weather conditions.

In the meantime, we request that all residents and guests on the Island exercise care and caution while in or near the water.
