Escalating healthcare costs and the Bermuda Government’s plans to address it, by overhauling the financing system via healthcare reform may turn out to be one of the main focal points at a town hall meeting on Monday evening ( April 15, 2019).
Scheduled by the Political Education Committee of the Progressive Labour Party, all members of the public are invited to see a presentation by Health Minister Kim Wilson and speak to her firsthand’
The meeting will be held at Alaska Hall from 6pm to 7pm.
Reform plans include pooling private and government funding to spread the costs across the board.
Speaking in the House of Assembly earlier this year, Minister Wilson said the Bermuda Hospitals Board’s $330 million block grant will be replaced with a “fee-for-service” system.
The town hall meeting will be held at Alaska Hall from 6pm to 7pm.
