Premier David Burt presented the cruise ship captain of Viking Orion, Terje Hvidsten with a cedar plaque at a welcoming ceremony yesterday (June 23).
The cruise ship is based out of the City of Hamilton for the summer season.
Transport Minister Lawrence Scott and the Mayor of Hamilton, Charles Gosling also presented plaques to Captain Hvidsten.
Viking Orion is scheduled to carry out eight voyages between June 15 and August 3, calling at Hamilton, St George’s and Dockyard, with the hope that if the voyages are successful, more cruises will be added.
