Premier David Burt today extended sincere condolences to the family of the late Ms Deborah Tannock on behalf of the Progressive Labour Party.
In a PLP statement issued this afternoon, Mr Burt said: “Ms Tannock was an active and faithful member of the party, whose contributions were immeasurable and we are thankful for the time she spent with us. As a member of the Fundraising Committee, Ms Tannock put much of her energy into supporting the party and for that we are grateful.
“Ms Tannock was very active in the PLP while her husband, Raymond Tannock, was a Senator, and she spent much time with the people of Constituency 30 during her husband’s candidacy and thereafter.”
The statement concluded: “The Tannock’s loss is felt by us all in the PLP and we hope they are comforted by warm memories of her and the knowledge that she contributed so much to Bermuda.”
