Police are investigating a disturbance on Rambling Lane in Pembroke last night (May 16), that resulted in a 17-year-old male being stabbed in the face.

Reports of the disturbance came in around 9:13pm with indications that one of the persons involved was armed with a knife.

Police say details pertaining to this incident remain limited at this time.

“Upon their arrival officers were informed that a 17-year-old male had been stabbed in the face and was transported by private motorcar to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment,” a spokesman said.

“Checks at the hospital confirmed the victim sustained a laceration to his right cheek. His injury was not deemed to be life threatening.

“The only information available on the suspect is that the person is a male, approximately 6’ tall and of muscular build.

“Anyone with information on this matter is asked to call the main police number, 295-0011 or, the confidential and independent Crime Stoppers number 800-8477. You may also provide the information to a police officer you’re comfortable speaking with.”
