Police have released the identity of the woman who died while swimming off Southlands beach in Warwick last Friday, as British tourist Amanda Chibwe.
Ms Chibwe, 31, was pulled from the water at around 4.45pm and taken via ambulance to the hospital’s Emergency Department, where she was pronounced dead.
A police spokesman said Ms Chibwe was a UK national who was visiting the island.
Her death is not being treated as suspicious.
