Police rushed to the scene of a reported shooting that left a 31-year-old woman lying outside a residence on Sunset Pass in Pembroke with multiple gunshot wounds.
Despite CPR until the victim was rushed to the hospital’s Emergency Department via ambulance, the victim “subsequently succumbed to her injuries”.
Police responded to several 911 calls reporting several shots fired around 12:20 this morning.
Detective Superintendent Nicholas Pedro who heads up the Crime Division, said: “This matter is now being treated as a murder investigation and it is being investigated by the Serious Crime Unit. Investigators are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who may have seen two persons dressed in dark clothing and who may have left the area on motorcycles shortly after the incident.
This incident marks the second shooting death and the third murder for the year 2020.
