Motorists will not be pulled over this weekend on suspicion of impaired driving as a result of roadside sobriety checks, following a weekend of arrests over last week’s holiday weekend.
The Bermuda Police Service advised the public on Friday that the next set of roadside sobriety checks points start up again Thursday, November 22nd.
A police spokesman said: “The checkpoints will be in effect in Hamilton Parish, Devonshire, Pembroke, Paget and Southampton on Thursday, November 22nd, Friday, November 23rd, Saturday, November 24th and Sunday, November 25th.”
Eight people were arrested last weekend.
And while checkpoints will not be in place this weekend, police have warned motorists that they will still be out looking for impaired drivers.
