Police arrested a 54-year-old man at the LF Wade International Airport shortly after he arrived on board a British Airways flight, who consumed too much alcohol and became belligerent and verbally abusive to the airline’s crew and fellow passengers.

Police attended the report from an inbound British Airways flight from Gatwick Airport around 7pm.

A spokesman said: “When the plane landed in Bermuda the 54-year-old man was taken to the Hamilton Police Station where he was processed and detained.” And he no doubt will get a chance to sober up overnight in the lock up.

A court appearance is expected in the near future, which is not likely until next Tuesday, after the New Year’s Day holiday.
