Two senior citizens, a man and a woman, both 71-years-old, had to be extracted out of an overturned car this morning, following a single vehicle collision on Stowe Court in Pembroke.

Police say the accident occurred around 9:10am, when “the driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with a residential wall before going over an embankment and landing in the yard of another private residenc”.

“A team from the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service had to extract both occupants from the vehicle and they were conveyed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of their injuries,” a spokesman said.

“The extent of their injuries are not known at this time.”
