Two motorcyclists were rushed to the hospital’s Emergency Department following a serious road traffic accident at the junction of South Road and Zuill’s Park Road in Smith’s Parish.
Police say the accident occurred at about 4pm today.
A spokesman said: “It appears a female motorcycle rider was exiting Zuill’s Park Road and attempted to make a right turn, headed in a westerly direction on South Shore Road, whilst another motorcycle ridden by a male was headed in the opposite direction along South Shore Road and the two collided.
“Both riders were transported via ambulance to hospital, for treatment to their injuries the extent of which remain unknown.”
Traffic was diverted away from the area as Traffic Collision Investigators and Officers from the Forensic Support Unit processed the scene.
