Police officers arrived to the scene of a single vehicle accident last night to find two men trapped in an overturned car that was lying on its roof near the junction with Pomander Road on Harbour Road in Paget.
A spokesman said the single vehicle accident occurred around 10:40pm on Friday (April 2).
Both men were able to “get out of the vehicle on their own, having sustained only minor injuries”.
“The driver, who at the time appeared disoriented, was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst impaired after he reportedly failed a breath test,” he said.
“Traffic was diverted away from the scene while the roadway was being cleared of debris and the vehicle removed.
“Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call, 211 or, the main police number, 295-0011.
“The public is reminded to allow themselves ample time to safely get to their final destination, before the 11pm start of curfew.”
