Two men were arrested following a scuffle outside the club house at the Bermuda Athletic Association (BAA) on Saturday night.

A spokesman said a police officer was conducting a liquor licence check around 10pm on April 20, when a scuffle broke out “between a group of men at the front of the clubhouse”.

Other officers promptly attended the premises to assist in defusing the situation.

Two men, said to be 31 and 24 years old, were arrested in connection with the incident.

The older man remains in police custody at this time, while the younger man has been released on police bail pending further inquiries,” he added.

Any witnesses are asked to call the main police telephone number 295-0011.
