A 21-year-old Pembroke man is facing a charge of possessing controlled drugs with intent to supply following a drug bust on Wednesday (August 12) at a private home that netted “a large quantity of suspected crack cocaine”.
A police spokesman said today that “other suspected controlled drugs were recovered” at a private residence when police executed a Search Warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
“A 21-year old male was subsequently arrested for possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply.”
Later that same day, shortly be 4pm, “police attended the arrivals hall at the LF Wade International Airport, St Georges”.
“Following discussions with officers from HM Customs, a 28-year-old male was arrested for importation of a controlled drug, after he was allegedly found with a vacuum sealed bag, containing what is believed to be cannabis,” the spokesman said.
“The suspect also faces a charge for threatening behaviour after allegedly threatening to assault a Customs official.”
