A three-vehicle accident on South Road in Paget near the junction with Grayridge Drive caused major traffic delays leading into the City of Hamilton this afternoon.
Police say the accident occurred around 12:31pm.
“Initial reports suggest that a car, a taxi and a motor cycle were all traveling west when the collision occurred,” a spokeswoman said.
“The female rider of the motor cycle was the only person, reported to be injured. She was transported to King Edward Memorial Hospital where she is being treated for her injuries. The extent of her injuries is not known at this time.”
Traffic was diverted at South Roundabout, North Roundabout and Stowe Hill, whilst the scene was processed by traffic accident investigators.
