Two people were rushed to the hospital’s Emergency Department for treatment following a road traffic accident on Saturday (Jan 28).

Police say the accident occurred around 3:30pm on South Road, near the junction with Kent Avenue in Devonshire, involving two motorcycles.

A spokesman said: “Details surround the collision are limited, however it is believed that three people were involved.

“Two adults have been taken to King Edward Memorial Hospital, for treatment of their injuries, which were described as potentially serious.

“An eight year old child was also reported to injured in the collision, but  believed to have suffered a minor injury,” he added.

Traffic diversions were put in place at Brighton Hill, Middle Road/Tee Street and Berry Hill/Tee Street, while accident investigators processed the scene.
