Police are today investigating a brutal early morning attack by two men that left a 14-year-old schoolboy in hospital, reportedly with a serious stab wound injury to his neck.

Police say the incident occurred around 8:20am, when two men on a motorcycle pulled up at a bus stop and attacked the young man.

Inspector Kenten Trott, who did not reveal the boy’s age, said the boy was now listed in stable condition at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

He said the men in question, were wearing dark-coloured helmets and drove off along Happy Dale Road in Pembroke.

Multiple police vehicles and officers responded to the scene, where they blocked off the road to establish the crime scene.

A spokesman said: “The basic circumstances are that an individual was at the bus stop, a young school boy, when he was brutally attacked by two males on a motorcycle.

“The motorcycle stopped right in front of the bus stop and attacked this young man.

“The suspects were wearing light coloured clothing and the cycle was a white motorcycle,” he added.
