News Release: Hamilton, Bermuda: The Bermuda Police Service has been made aware of a fake website claiming to represent cellular and internet services company Digicel Bermuda, inviting individuals to participate in a survey, pay a delivery chare of between $1 and $5 and they will receive an iPhone 11, or Samsung device free of charge, as part of a Digicel Customer Reward Program.

Digicel Bermuda has confirmed that the company is not currently running any such campaign.
While the Digicel logo on the offending website appears legitimate, this is yet another example of a phishing scam, designed to steal consumer’s personal information, take money and/or steal credit card details.
Anyone who may have been contacted and asked to participate in this “Digicel Customer Reward Program” is advised not to do so and instead contact the Bermuda Police Service Financial Crime Unit on 247-1757, or via email,
