Police responded to a third burglary in as many months at Vera P Card in St George’s early this morning, after two men gained entry into the store and stole an undisclosed amount of jewellery.
A police spokesperson said the incident occurred around 3:45am today [July 11th].
“It appears that two male suspects gained entry into the store and stole a quantity of jewellery before making good their escape.
“This is the third burglary at Vera P. Card in recent months, following two similar incidents around 3am May 11th and around 4am May 24th,” he said.
“An investigation into this latest incident is underway and witnesses – particularly any passing motorists or members of the public walking in the vicinity that saw suspicious individuals or vehicles just before or after 3:45am Thursday – are encouraged to call Detective Constable Seymour Foote on 717-2282 or Detective Constable Mark McCormack on 717-2207.
“In addition, any businesses in the surrounding area with security camera footage of suspicious activity around the time of this latest burglary are also invited to contact Detective Constable Foote or Detective Constable McCormack as soon as possible.
