Police responded to reports of shots being fired near the junction with North Terrace on Friswell’s Hill Road in Devonshire.
A spokesman said no one was injured in the shooting which took place around 10.40pm. A car reportedly was been damaged.
Another gun related investigation is now underway and police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with any information to call 295-0011.
