Police today confirmed the report of a single gunshot last night, in the area of Spruce Lane.
Officers responded in a residential area near North Shore in Pembroke.
A police spokesman said the report came in around 9:30pm on Monday (October 28).
“So far there is no forensic evidence to substantiate the report that a firearm was discharged and no one has attended King Edward VII Memorial Hospital seeking treatment for a gunshot wound,” he said.
“However, inquiries continue and any witnesses or anyone with relevant information regarding this incident is urged to call the Serious Crime Unit on 247-1739 or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477.
