Police and other first responders were despatched to a road traffic collision last night, involving two-motor cycles, where both riders were reportedly in and out of consciousness.

The accident occurred around 9:55pm on North Shore Road near the junction with Workman’s Lane in Hamilton Parish.

A spokesman said: “Upon arrival, officers were informed one of the motorcycle riders, a male had left the scene in a private vehicle.

“He later arrived at King Edward Hospital with facial and other injuries, described as non-life-threatening

“The other rider, also a male, was lying on the roadway.

“He, was attended to at the scene by EMTs and subsequently transported by ambulance to King Edward Hospital.

“It was later ascertained he sustained minor injuries.

“The roadway was closed for approximately three hours and traffic diversion put in place while the scene was forensically processed.
