Bermuda’s social media public were reminded not to participate in circulating images of the victim and the accused in alleged sexual offences that is now before the courts.
By passing on these images, residents were advised that they “will be committing an offence”.

A police spokesperson said: “Members of the public are advised that anyone producing or sharing these image to identify either the accused, or the victim in an ongoing sexual offences matter will be committing an offence under Section 329 C of the Criminal Code.

“Anyone found guilty of doing so, is subject to a fine of $10,000.00.

“Should you receive the images being circulated, you are advised to not share them in any way and instead, delete them from your device.”
