Police are investigating a stabbing incident that left a 17-year-old male teenager with two stab wounds in an altercation between several men that took place on Cricket Lane in Sandys, in the vicinity of Somerset Cricket Club.
A police spokesman said the young man was “transported from the scene by private car to the Port Royal Fire Station”, where he was transferred to an ambulance and taken to the hospital’s Emergency Department.
The incident occurred around 5:15pm on Sunday, October 6.
A spokesman said: “Details remain limited at this time.
“However, early information indicates that an altercation took place between several men in the Cricket Lane, Sandys parish area – in the vicinity of Somerset Cricket Club.
“Apparently one of the men involved in the altercation was stabbed and transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.”
His injuries are not believed to be life threatening at this time.
The scene was cordoned off and processed.
