Police are investigating a reported armed robbery that occurred in broad daylight at Grannie’s Kitchen on North Shore Road in Pembroke around 11am this morning (June 11th).
A police spokesman said: “Early information indicates that two men wearing dark coloured helmets entered the premises.
“One of the suspects pointed an unknown object covered in a red cloth at a female employee and demanded money.
“Both suspects are then understood to have made good their escape on a motorcycle with a quantity of cash.
“There were no reported injuries and officers are currently conducting a search of the surrounding area to locate the culprits.”
Police are now urging any witnesses or members of the public with relevant information to call the main police telephone number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.
