Police arrested a man after the car he was driving struck another man and a woman on Front Street during the early morning hours of Monday morning.
The accident occurred shortly after 1am near the junction with Parliament Street in the City of Hamilton.
A police spokesman said the “car collided with a 41-year-old Southampton man sat on a parked motorcycle and a 27-year-old Sandys Parish woman standing nearby.
“Both were injured and take to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. At last check this afternoon the 41-year-old man was in stable condition on a general ward, while the 27-year-old woman had been treated and discharged,”he said.
“The male driver was not injured and arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.”
