The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) has released the names of two men who lost their lives on Bermuda’s roads.
Raheem Burgess, 30, died on Friday when his motorcycle collided with a car on Middle Road in Warwick.
His death marked the year’s eleventh road fatality after he was seriously injured at about 9.15pm near Belmont Hills Drive.
The fatal crash is now under investigation. Witnesses asked urged to contact PC Gregory White, of the Roads Policing Unit, on 247-1788, by or email at gwhite@bps.bm.
Police also named 48-year-old Marvin Dyer as Bermuda’s tenth road fatality of the year.
Mr Dyer was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash at about 6.15pm on June 20 after the motorcycle he was riding struck the kerb at the junction of Southside Road and Stocks Road in St George’s.
He was pronounced dead that evening at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
The accident is also under investigation, with witnesses or anyone with knowledge of the circumstances asked to contact PC Kevin Medeiros, of the Roads Policing Unit, on 247-1788 or by e-mailing kmedeiros@bps.bm.
