Police today released the name of the young man, who tragically lost his life at the young age of 23, in a fatal road traffic accident earlier this week.
Jahtino Richardson-Martin, a well known football player who played for Dandytown, was seriously injured on Wednesday morning, marking the 15th road traffic fatality this year.
The accident occurred near the RUBis gas station on North Shore Road in Smith’s Parish.
The young man was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The car driver,, a 25-year-old man, was not injured.
Meanwhile, a police spokesman today reminded members of the public not to share footage posted on social media of the aftermath of this fatal crash.
He also urged anyone who receives the footage to delete it, saying the spreading of the “graphic video” only worsens the distress the victim’s family.
