A 40-year-old Pembroke man was rushed to the hospital’s Emergency Department after a collision on St John’s Road in Pembroke.
Police say the accident occurred around 11:35am on Saturday, May 12th in the St. John’s Road, Woodlands Road, Cemetery Road Pembroke area.
A spokesman said: “It appears that the collision occurred as a male pedal cyclist riding along St. John’s Road attempted to negotiate the round-a-bout at that location and a car being driven along Cemetery Road also attempted to negotiate the round-a-bout.
“The pedal cyclist, believed to be a 40-year-old Pembroke man was injured, transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and later discharged.
“Inquiries continue and any witnesses that have not already come forward are asked to contact Constable Talitha Simons on the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
